The outdoor yard on a clear day, with stacks of recovered pallets including blue pooled units, beside the open doors of the building.
The yard at Evendale. Cores stay under the roofline wherever we can get them there — wet wood is worth measurably less.
Two short stacks of new heat-treated block pallets standing on the concrete outside a roller door, with the yard behind.
New block pallets outside the kiln door. Nothing ships for export until the treatment record is filed against the order.

Getting here

10400 Evendale Dr

Evendale sits in the industrial belt north of Cincinnati, between Reading and Sharonville. If you are coming from the interstate the approach is simple; if you are coming from inside the neighbourhood, follow the truck route rather than your navigation app.

From I-75

Exit at Glendale-Milford Road and head east. Evendale Drive is signed within a mile. The yard entrance is on the north side, wide enough for a 53-ft trailer to swing in without blocking the road.

From I-275

Take the I-75 south interchange and follow the directions above. Total drive time from the interchange is under ten minutes outside peak hours.

From downtown Cincinnati

North on I-75 for roughly fifteen miles. Twenty to thirty minutes depending on traffic through the Norwood Lateral junction.

Deliveries and collections

Inbound trailers check in at the scale house. Bring your tally sheet or bill of lading; our yard team will count with your driver before anything is unloaded.

Before you write

Questions people ask first

Why is there no phone number?
Because we do not have one. Every enquiry, quote, confirmation and dispute at Pallets Recycle happens in writing, which means nothing is remembered differently by two people a month later. It is unusual and it is deliberate. Our written quotes are unusually detailed precisely because they have to carry the whole conversation.
How fast will somebody reply?
Within one business day, and usually the same day for anything received before mid-afternoon. A named person replies — not an autoresponder and not a ticket number.
Can I visit the yard?
Yes, during business hours. Walk the stacks, inspect a lot before you buy it, pick up your own bundle at will-call, or just watch a grading line work. No appointment needed, though telling us you are coming means somebody will be free to show you around.
Do you have a will-call counter?
Yes. Will-call pickup runs 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Friday and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday. Bring a trailer or a truck bed; we will load you.
What is the fastest way to get a price?
The form on this page. Quantity, product type, service and postal code are the four fields that determine everything else — fill those accurately and the quote comes back complete rather than as a request for more information.

The no-phone policy, in more detail than anybody asks for

We took the line out in 2016. The pattern of every serious problem in the preceding seven years was identical: a verbal agreement remembered differently by two people a month later. It is the single most unpopular decision we have made and the one we would repeat first.

What people worry aboutWhat actually happens
"It will be slower."A written quote within one business day, usually the same day. A phone call gets you a number you then have to have confirmed in writing anyway.
"Nobody will read it."Every email is read by a person within one business day. There is no ticketing system and no autoresponder.
"What about urgent problems?"Mark it urgent in the subject line. Urgent email is triaged ahead of everything else and is usually answered within the hour during business hours.
"I want to talk it through."Come to the yard. We would rather have a conversation standing next to the actual pallets than on a telephone.
"What if there is a dispute?"This is the point. Both parties can read exactly what was agreed rather than argue about what was said.
"It feels impersonal."Our written quotes carry the whole conversation, which makes them unusually detailed. Most customers say the opposite after a month.
