Terms of service
In short
Quotes are valid for five business days and reserved lots are held for the same period. Title and risk pass on delivery or on collection at our yard. Grade disputes must be raised within three business days of receipt, with photographs, and we will collect and replace rather than argue. Everything material happens in writing, because we have no telephone line.
Questions about terms
Procurement teams frequently need a variation for their own paper. Send it through and we will read it — most requests are reasonable and most get agreed.

1. Quotations
Written quotations are valid for five business days from issue unless stated otherwise. Recycled pallet pricing moves with core supply, which is seasonal, so we do not hold open-ended pricing. Reserved lots are held for the same five business days. Quotations state unit price and freight as separate lines; a quotation that combines them has been issued in error and should be queried.
2. Orders and acceptance
A purchase order, or a written confirmation sent to info@palletsrecycle.com, constitutes acceptance. Where your purchasing terms conflict with these terms, the conflict should be raised before acceptance; silence does not incorporate your terms into our agreement.
3. Grades and specification
Recycled pallet grade names are industry conventions rather than regulated standards. Our grades are defined by written rejection criteria, which are supplied with every quotation and posted at both grading stations in our facility. Where you supply your own specification, that specification governs and is recorded against your account.
Load ratings quoted for any product are typical figures for the construction described. Where a specific engineered rating is required, say so at quotation stage and we will calculate to your actual load and support condition.
4. Delivery, title and risk
Delivery windows are held, not estimated. If we will miss one you will hear from the route coordinator before you hear from the driver. Title and risk in goods pass on delivery to your nominated address, or on collection at our yard for will-call orders.
Where you require unloading assistance, mechanical handling must be available at the receiving site unless a liftgate or forklift-equipped vehicle has been agreed in writing at quotation stage.
5. Counts and claims
Piece counts are performed jointly at collection and at delivery, and both parties sign the tally sheet. The signed tally is the operative record. Claims relating to count must be raised at the point of signing.
Claims relating to grade or condition must be raised within three business days of receipt, accompanied by photographs of the units concerned in situ. Our practice is to collect and replace rather than to dispute; we would rather absorb a bad load than win an argument about one.
6. Collections and purchases of your pallets
Where we purchase cores from you, payment follows the signed tally sheet on the terms stated in the collection confirmation — ordinarily net fifteen days. Where core value is applied as a credit against a purchase, the credit is applied to the open invoice immediately.
We reserve the right to decline material that is chemically contaminated, hazardous, or misdescribed at the point of collection. Where such material is identified after collection, it is handled through a licensed disposal route and the cost is passed on at cost.
7. Payment
Net thirty days on approved commercial accounts. New accounts trade on prepayment or card until terms are established. Overdue balances may attract interest at the lower of 1.5% per month or the maximum permitted by Ohio law.
8. Export and ISPM-15
Heat treatment is performed under our accredited facility number, with logged chamber cycles retained against your order. Compliance with destination-country requirements beyond ISPM-15 marking — including debarking requirements, additional certification and import permits — remains the shipper’s responsibility. We will supply treatment records on request to support any customs enquiry.
9. Limitation of liability
Our liability in respect of any order is limited to the value of the goods or services supplied under that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of production, loss of profit or third-party product damage, save where such exclusion is not permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Website terms
Content on this website — including guides, tables, load figures, methodology and glossary entries — is provided for general guidance. It is written carefully and reviewed by people who grade pallets for a living, but it is not engineering advice for your specific application. Where a decision carries safety consequences, obtain a specific engineered assessment.
You may quote from this site with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce it wholesale or republish it as your own.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, and the courts of Hamilton County, Ohio have exclusive jurisdiction.
